ServicesHeavy Jet Charter
Heavy Jet Charter in Martinsville, IN
When a trip needs 12 or more seats, a full galley and the range to cross an ocean without a fuel stop, a heavy jet is the right aircraft. We price each flight point to point, put every fee in one all-inclusive quote, and one person handles your trip from first call to landing.

What a heavy jet charter gets you
Heavy jets are the large-cabin end of private aviation. Examples include the Gulfstream G450, G550 and G650, the Dassault Falcon 900 and 7X, and the Bombardier Global 6000. Most seat 12 to 16 passengers, have a cabin tall enough to stand in, and carry fuel for roughly 4,000 to 7,000 nautical miles. That range is the reason they exist. A midsize jet bound for Europe has to stop in Canada or Greenland to refuel, while many heavy jets fly there direct.
The cabin is built for long legs. Expect separate seating zones, a full lavatory, a galley that can serve hot meals, and seats that recline flat for sleep. On longer flights the operator adds a flight attendant and sometimes a third pilot so the crew stays within its duty-time limits.
If your group is smaller or the flight is under three hours, super-midsize jet charter usually does the job for less. We will say so on the first call rather than sell you more airplane than you need.
What every heavy jet quote covers
- Aircraft and crew
- Two pilots on every flight, plus a flight attendant on heavy jets. Crew hotels and per diem for overnight trips are listed in the quote, not added after you land.
- Fuel, landing and FBO fees
- Jet fuel is the biggest variable on a long leg. It is built into the price along with landing, ramp and handling fees at both FBOs.
- Catering and cabin setup
- Tell us meal preferences, allergies and how the cabin should be arranged. The flight attendant orders from a caterer near the departure FBO the day before you fly.
- Wi-Fi and pets
- We source WIFI equipped aircraft so you can keep working in the air. Pets are allowed, and we match an operator whose cabin policy fits the size and number of animals you bring.
- International paperwork
- For overseas trips we coordinate customs, the APIS passenger manifest and overflight permits with the operator. We also tell each passenger exactly which documents to carry.
When a heavy jet is the right aircraft
More than nine passengers
Most super-midsize cabins top out around eight or nine seats. Past that, a heavy jet keeps the whole group on one aircraft instead of splitting it across two.
A nonstop ocean crossing
Reaching London or Paris without a fuel stop takes range that only the large-cabin jets have. Skipping the tech stop saves an hour or more on the ground.
An overnight flight
On a red-eye, flat-reclining seats and a quiet cabin mean passengers arrive able to work. Smaller jets rarely offer real sleeping room.
A lot of baggage
Golf bags, ski cases, sample trunks or a week of luggage for twelve need a larger hold. On many heavy jets the baggage compartment is reachable during flight.
Work that happens on board
Separate cabin zones let part of a team spread out documents and talk privately while others rest.
Where a heavy jet charter price comes from
Time in the air is the starting point, since a large aircraft's hourly rate pays for its fuel, crew and maintenance reserves. Quotes are built point to point, so a one-way flight never carries round trip pricing. Every other charge is shown before you book, with no hidden costs.
Length of the trip and routing
A longer leg uses more fuel, and flying west into headwinds stretches the time aloft. Detours for weather or closed airspace also change the total.
Where the jet starts
When the nearest open heavy jet is parked several states away, the time to bring it to you may be charged. We search for aircraft close by first, or an empty leg flight already coming in your direction.
Multi-day trips
Holding the aircraft with you for several days brings crew hotel costs and daily minimums. Flying it home and back is sometimes cheaper, so we quote it both ways.
Overseas charges
Transatlantic flights add customs costs, overflight permits, landing fees abroad and handling at foreign FBOs.
Cold-weather departures
Many Indiana winter departures need de-icing, and a large-cabin jet uses much more fluid than a light jet does.
How your heavy jet trip comes together
- 1
One call, one coordinator
Tell us your dates, passengers, bags and any pets. The person who takes that call stays your contact until the wheels touch down.
- 2
Matched aircraft, clear quote
We check the aircraft's range against your route, runway length at both ends and crew duty time. Then we walk you through the all-inclusive quote by phone, line by line.
- 3
Details locked in
Once you confirm, we arrange catering, ground transport, the passenger manifest and any customs filings, and confirm the FBO and arrival time with you.
- 4
Departure day
You drive to the FBO, not an airline terminal. There is no security line; the crew loads the bags and checks IDs. Heavy jets need longer runways than smaller aircraft, so we choose the closest airport that can handle the weight.
- 5
In flight and after
We track the flight and stay reachable around the clock, including for changes to your return leg.

Heavy jet charter questions
How many people fit on a heavy jet?
Most seat 12 to 16 passengers, depending on the model and layout. A Gulfstream G550 often seats 14 to 16, while a Falcon 7X is commonly 12 to 14. Some layouts trade seats for divans that convert to beds, so tell us how many people need to sleep.
Can we fly from Martinsville to Europe nonstop?
Yes, on the longer-range models. A Gulfstream G550 or Global 6000 can reach Western Europe direct from central Indiana with a full cabin. Shorter-range heavy jets may still need a stop depending on winds and passenger load, and we confirm that before quoting.
What happens if the jet has a mechanical problem?
The operator works to bring in a replacement aircraft, and your coordinator handles the rebooking so you are not making calls from the ramp. Mechanical insurance covers up to 100% of replacement flight cost.
Do we have to sign up for anything to book?
No. You book one trip at a time with no long term commitments and no prepaid account. You pay for the flight you take.
How much notice do you need for a heavy jet?
We answer the phone 24/7. Heavy jets are fewer in number than smaller jets, so on short notice the choice depends on what is positioned nearby. A few days of lead time gives you more options, but we will tell you what is available as soon as you ask.
